new year, new beginnings

This year, i’m going on vacation either to North Vietnam (Hanoi) or to Lebanon (Beirut etc.)… wait, that was the situation weeks ago Now that we nearly have March…

I’ve decided to spend the first two weeks of May in Hanoi. The place to stay will be A & EM Hotel. It seems like a really nice place, Art Deco-style suits me, the reviews were good, and it’s in Old Town. And the best part… i’d only 932€ to spend for flight ticket + hotel. With Aeroflot from Berlin via Moscow straight to Noi Bai airport.

Originally, i wanted to do a round-trip in Northern Viet Nam already last year, but for single travelers it’s always more expensive to find a suitable room/accommodation as most prices are calculated for one of two persons traveling together, so the plan was scrapped and i wet to the Indonesian island of Bali instead. And for Viet Nam, you have to keep the best period for traveling in mind. For South Viet Nam, were it’s almost always humid & hot, May would’ve been not a good choice, but i’m far more interested in the more dry climate of the North.

Really looking forward to it… the only culprit is, i will be two weeks without my little sunshine. As i said, new year, new beginnings…
